Howdy and Welcome to Arts & Sciences!
This year, three colleges, Geosciences, Liberal Arts, and Science have come together to form the College of Arts and Sciences. At the heart of every great research university is consistent excellence across all the disciplines, programs, and initiatives that now have their home in this new college. A world class College of Arts and Sciences will accelerate Texas A&M’s continuing ascent among the leading universities of the nation and the world. As the center point of our university and the foundation upon which all degrees and discoveries are built, the College of Arts and Sciences seeks to leverage the tremendous strengths, investments and cultures of Texas A&M to create a critical mass with the power to transform all programs and priorities.
We will update here as plans develop and additional information becomes available during the summer months. In the meantime, some key dates to keep in mind are:
- New Student Conferences – May 19 - Aug. 19
- Howdy Week, Texas A&M’s annual week of welcome – Aug. 20-23
- Arts and Sciences Howdy Week Launch Event – Aug. 23, 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., East Quad
- First day of classes, Fall 2022 – Aug. 24
- Art and Sciences Tailgate Kick-Off – Nov. 5
